Job Description
A leading Convenience Store in Kuwait is looking for Area manager as per the following details:


JOB OBJECTIVE:

responsible for ensuring that store managers and their staff keep stores to the highest possible standards, being well organised and properly merchandised at all times; and that all policies, procedures, and controls are followed. This will also include stock control to ensure store shrink is within company guidelines so as to protect company property and assets. The difficulty is that an area manager's time has to be split between a number of stores and the managers of these stores, who may require different levels of support and time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coach and support other team members
• Maintain and monitor store inventory
• Ensure that the store is clean, safe and presentable for customers
• Greet and assist customers as necessary when other sales associates are busy
• Conduct regular audits of the store’s physical and practical condition to ensure quality
• Maintain product levels appropriately
• Interact with the public via social media and maintain the store’s online presence
• Process sales when necessary
• Generate and review daily sales report
• Monitor sales levels to determine product volume adjustments, replenishments and allocations
• Identified and documented sales opportunities through networking, internet research and cold-calling
• Provided Trademark Customer Service to both DIY/Retail and wholesale customer
• Executed local consumer marketing programs to increase foot traffic and build sales
• Ensured compliance with safety and loss prevention policies
• Maintaining and increasing sales of your company's products
• Reaching the targets and goals set for your area
• Establishing, maintaining and expanding your customer base
• Servicing the needs of your existing customers
• Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
• Setting sales targets for individual reps and your team as a whole
• Recruiting and training sales staff
• Allocating areas to sales representatives
• Developing sales strategies and setting targets
• Monitoring your team's performance and motivating them to reach targets
• Compiling and analysing sales figures
• Possibly dealing with some major customer accounts yourself

• Reporting to senior managers
• Keeping up to date with products and competitors
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Any other job duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• A degree in a related field, plus have multi-store management experience, or equivalent education and multi-store management experience to include: responsibility for creating and managing several profit centres budgets, P&L's, inventory controls and have personnel management experience.
• Proven interpersonal, oral and written communications required.
• Must be able to travel as necessary locally as well as overnight stays.
• Must have the ability to relocate to a newly assigned operation region if business necessity requires.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, meet the company's risk management driving requirements and maintain current valid insurance on the vehicle used for business purposes.

• EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
8+ years’ experience in a retail setting
• 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role preferred but not required
• University Graduate
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Excellent customer service and communication skills needed
